Highly Recommend This book was recommended to me by our daycare facility (which is top notch). I have a spirited 3 year old boy and sometimes developing, guiding and teaching this age can be tough. Not only was it easy to read but it was logical and provided good recommendations. So many books out there talk philosophy and beliefs but provide no tangible solutions to those tough toddler scenarios.. Good philosophy namaste So far liking this book. A friend, who is works in a preschool & is a child social worker, recommended this book/ parenting philosophy. I admire how she is with her kids, and it is straight out of the book.. Positive Results Along with my daughter, we are using this method with my 2 year old grand daughter. Very effective. Following the principles: share the control, share the thinking, empathy and self concept. It requires intention on the part of the adult, but once you get the hang of it, it comes easy. This is not to be confused with permissive parenting, but rather thoughtful parenting that builds self esteem in a child while keeping her within the boundaries of safe choices.
