I have a graduate degree in history and not only am I surprised at the level of detail these "who was" books go into, but I have also learned a thing or two. They also don't just sugar coat the rough parts of history or try to feed you a slanted view. These are the best history series books for young readers that I have come across.. These are great books. All of the Who Was books are Jennis0212 These are great books. All of the Who Was books are excellent for young readers. My daughter gets very excited when she can teach us a little something about history and she seems to truly find things interesting. I think this is a great read for grades 3 and 4. Love these books! We love all the Who Was books (and the Who Is, and Where Is, and What Is, and all the others). We have dozens of them. They are quick reads with short chapters, big font, and lots of pictures. They make a great addition to our homeschool library and thry are very educational.
