DESCRIPTION:
Miles from civilization, cut off by a freak storm and a washed-out road, Stone must race to find the origin of the curse and stop it before it settles its malignant grip over everyone in the town.Meanwhile, Jason and Verity head off to tackle their first case on their own in Las Vegas, where a search for a missing family man takes them down a dark path—and leads Verity to make a desperate choice that forces her to question everything she thought she knew about her magic. DARK DESIRESAlastair Stone and fellow professor Edwina Mortenson go together like punk rock and patchouli. . So when an unwilling Stone is “volunteered” to participate in a paranormal TV reality show with her, neither of them is thrilled about it—even if the ghost town they’ll be filming in is supposedly the site of a powerful curse. As if dealing with Mortenson, the show’s overbearing producer, and its prima-donna star weren’t bad enough, Stone soon uncovers evidence that the town’s curse is very real—and it’s resurfacing again, more deadly than ever
Amazon Customer Wendy S said The Best Story in the Alastair Stone Chronicles to date!!. What a ride! Splitting the storyline between Stone's adventure and Jason and Verity's case was sheer genius! There are seriously sweet emotional moments, some very sad scenes, and a lot of dangerous magic thrown around Throw in a very old curse, a mystery that leads to Las Vegas, Mobsters, and a Paranormal Reality show, and you will just be getting a glimpse of what this book is about!I highly recommend you get your copy today! But be sure you've . Keeps getting better and better! Richard Cunningham As always, a twisty, raucous ride. Alastair Stone deals with accidental television reality show stardom while his apprentice Verity and her brother Jason try to track down the cause of death of a client in Vegas.Nothing is really as it seems, of course, and thrills and chills abound before the finish. The only bad part is I finished reading and have to wait for more Chronicles!. Kay said Well done!. This is basically two separate stories - could have been two novellas but worked well this way. Enough twists that I didn't anticipate the next move. Nice interplay between Edwina and Alastair on a ghost hunters reality show. Jason and Verity worked well together with an ethical dilemma for Verity. Recommend it!
