DrS I teach a university course that covers the history of anatomic and medical illustration and this is one of the required texts for that course. The book is excellent and would be a bargain at three times the listed price. As should be obvious from the title, this is not the book to purchase if you want to learn the details of human anatomy. As a retired pathologist, I have glanced at a few of those over the years and know the difference.Absolutely packed with high-quality images, this book should please. Mo said Worth looking at!. This was a fantastic book. Some of the drawings were from the late 1500's. That was really awesome to see. I draw and paint surreal art. This is a great book because there are so many skeletons in unusual positions. There are a lot of fetus pictures in the womb. It's really well done. So many different drawing of all of our different internal systems.
