Five Stars Laura C. Such a great book for a Vera Bradley fan!. Kathleen San Martino said I love the author's philospohy so much that I got up in the middle of the night to continue reading this astounding book. To me this is an astounding book packed with great examples of how Barbara Bradley Baekgaard (co-founder of Vera Bradley) runs her life and business. I love her shoot first ask questions later type of mentality. She believes in hiring nice people who she can see herself having dinner with. She is not into titles, believes in selling herself and in keeping the fun in work. In fact, most of what she practices is not standard business practice as her ready, fire, aim attitude goes against how one is supposed to run a corporation with business plans and such. She is also not afraid to make mistak. Rivendell said Inspirational for those who need an extra kick to start something new.. My wife shares: I should start by mentioning that I first heard the Vera Bradley name when someone gave my 6 year old daughter a little Vera Bradley purse as a gift. First I thought it was just a local market quilt lover project, but then someone was so excited about seeing my daughter with that purse and asked me: Is that a Vera Bradley?
