Not all bad but disappointing overall This book contains a number of interesting designs and the author deserves credit for noting their sources. However, what you get looks to my eye like mediocre freehand copies of the original designs which were not done by a highly skilled illustrator. Details tend to be rough and poorly defined. I did not find many useful items and despite the low price, the book is not a good value.. Good reference with extra research I am happy with the book, it has a lot of different designs. I was only disappointed that the pictures weren't actual pictures, more copies of the actual item they were describing. But it tells you what part of Scandinavia the pieces come from although some of them I couldn't find on a map. Thank you!. "Great book if you love the artwork" according to Pamela. After researching my ancestry and finding out my origins, I have a great appreciation for the beautiful artwork. I love this book, and have been trying to soak up as much as I can find :) very interesting!
