Amazon Customer said Gold Standard for Film Information. Before there was an internet, this was the only single volume comprehensive way to research an actor's or director's entire body of work. My father and I always looked in the Leonard Maltin guide to find out who directed or acted in a film and then straight to the Katz for their history.More import. Since I always know what I'm looking for, I can find it with a simple cross-check or two. I had the 1998 Third Edition (1506 pp.)and figured I could use an update.
