"Hearts of Darkness - A Well Crafted Story" according to Chheyden. When I say that I liked it, that is TRUE. But what I truly liked is the manner in which the author Gil Hough writes his story. A story about a vampire brood, that is about to undergo an attempted extermination by the local towns people headed by extermination specialists and our hero. Jesse V. The story is told in modern, let's say colloquial manner that lends itself to being easy to read and picture.All goes wrong or shall we say there are. "Amazing author with a great novella." according to Charlie. After meeting this author at LibertyCon this June in Tennessee I was very drawn to the cover art. This was an amazing suspenseful book. I can't wait to read the next one in the series. Gil is a very talented author that keeps you on the edge of your seat with the story line and characters. I wouldn't hesitate to refer a friend to read any of his writing.
Trouble comes in many forms; and even as Jesse starts to become aware of much greater forces at play, he proves to have a few surprises of his own!. It was supposed to be easy money, but when you take on supernatural forces you should not be surprised when you find yourself in deep trouble. Most people don't get Jesse's sarcastic sense of humor, but the joke is on him when, instead of studying for his college final exams, he takes a night job to help clean out a nest of vampires
