DESCRIPTION:
"Review: Second Book of Practical Studies for Trombone by Gerald Bordner" according to Francis L Fitzpatrick. The author of this book of progressive and easy studies for trombone is GERALD BORDNER. Amazon has spelled his first name wrong in their heading, making it impossible to find this book from within Amazon unless you correctly guess the name. I had to find this book by doing a google search of "Gerald Bordner." Then, google showed it was available on Amazon (!) and a link brought me here to buy it.I own book one by GeraLd Bordner - purchased from Amazon - and it is great. Most studies for beginners are more difficult than they should be. These two books are not. Both books are progressive - starting from most. Ethan Bartlett said Great Product. I teach euphonium and trombone lessons, and I use this book on my beginners and for my euphoniums switching to bass clef. It is a great tool for the beginner, or for someone wanting to work on sight reading. There is a second book, and it is awesome too! I love this series and highly recommend them!. "great book." according to mimi key. Great book. I received it within a few days after ordering it. I tried to get it from two different stores before and they were all out. I guess it is a popular book.
Through the use of slightly more difficult and more extended studies, it is hoped that the material included in this book may more fully develop general musicianship and more feeling for style and interpretation and thus act as a foundation for solo literature.. The Second Book of Practical Studies is designed to logically extend the techniques already presented in the First Book and also to introduce and develop new techniques and rhythms that will offer a challenge to the intermediate student
