Our MC and his partner wives head out to complete the task given to them by Coyote. As per usual, running into some trouble, making some friends, and getting into a huge battle.Whilst The Chosen one continues on as per the Navajo gods plan, our MC seems to be getting quite a reputation for performing difficult tasks, and then spinning the resultant P. Incredibly frustrating White_rabbit So I like almost all of the book except for one specific thing. The interaction between Paul and Riggs. Riggs is constantly either trying to kill or screw over Paul, and the response by Coyote is basically tough?Seriously, they have crazy overpowered rifles, that can break boulders. Why have they not turned Riggs into meat based confetti? That whole bit just seems very unrealistic.
Coyote has a new task for Paul, one that involves him traveling north hundreds of miles over the post-apocalyptic landscape of California, the place that Paul once called home. If he can live through telling the girls just what Coyote's got him carrying in his pack now, of course. Thankfully, Sarah and Heather have both decided to go with him and between Heather's shooting skills and Sarah's magical ones; Paul thinks he might just live through whatever scheme Coyote has enlisted him in. At least he's done with Riggs and hopefully won't have to deal with him ever again, nothing could be worse than that after all!
