Porgy said Beautiful songs and a wealth of material. The book is full of information and photos about Fado and its singers and composers. Some of the fados are well known, others not so.but all the selections on the accompanying cd are beautiful. It makes a big difference to have the lyrics both in Portugese and in English and deepens one's appreciation of the music The only personal problem I had was that the music was not standard guitar notationits transcribed basically for voice with some ch. "A fantastic resource" according to AnaBH. My kids study music in college and this book came to meet all of their needs! One needed new voice pieces, and the other was writing a project on Portuguese music! A fantastic resource. Portuguese is their mother's background so they are very happy!
