Amy Shojai's kitten care book is the best! I have only one problem with how-to books. I don't read them. I buy them. I just don't read them--or instructions, or manuals, or recipes. I saved two kittens after their mother abandoned them after a few days and without the book I would have been rather helpless.Only one comment: All the author's advised products, food, utensils, websites etc. are meant for the USA only. There are also many readers from outside the U.S. and those references are not. comprehensive with a pleasant authorial voice I bought this book because I was thinking about getting a kitten. This book had everything I think I'll need to know to be a conscientious kitten owner (or, at least, I'll find out after taking the plunge!).
