"SURRENDER MY LOVE - Last in the Viking Trilogy" according to Angie Mike. SURRENDER MY LOVE is the final book in Johanna Lindsey's "Haardrad Family" trilogy and while I loved the first two in the series, I didn't feel the same about this one. As usual Ms. Lindsey writes an action packed, adventurous tale, which was fast paced and never boring. The problem I had was with the r. This book was ok, average at best. Jane Surrender My Love is book #3 in the Viking series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but I recommend reading Hearts Aflame (book #2) first. Slapstick catfights and anachronistic language ("it wasn't just the jealousy issues") give the novel a farcical slant; on the plus side, there is plenty of western kitsch: a train robbery, an attempted kidnapping and an old-fashioned barbecue. Concluding with an improbable surprise ending that is most unsatisfying and rather bitter for a historical romance, this is a clunky if occasionally entertaining effort that nonetheless will sell as Lindsey is wont to do-that is, a lot. .
