"Great book, but needs a little more detail on the shore excursions." according to R. Vashko. I am a big fan of Len Testa's Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World, and being a frequent Disney cruiser, I was excited to hear Len was bringing his exhaustive coverage and singular wit to Disney Cruise Lines.I am happy to say that if you are a fan of Len's other books or his personality (as heard on numerous Disney Parks podcasts), you get more of the same in this book, in a very good way. Intelligent, funny, and always c. "Negative and Not Very Useful" according to KMeredith. I enjoy the Unofficial Guides to Walt Disney World, and find the information in those books useful. So I was happy when I saw there was a companion book for Disney Cruise Line. However, while the other books are helpful -- even if I don't necessarily agree with all of the authors' assessments -- this book was waste of money. Do these people even LIKE the cruise ships? It seems like they are very jaded about the experience,. "This book is only be valuable if you don't have internet access." according to Alex M.. If you go to cruise critic, mousesaver, and a couple of others, you can find out all this book has and much more up-to-date information. I guess some of the really basic travel advice could be useful to someone that never left the U.S. (if you leave the country you need a passport!). I guess it might be a good off-line reference when I am on the boat, so that is why I am giving it two stars.
