When we became born again, we became a new creation. We should be looking at God's commandments as a symptom of a larger problem, much like a cough or a runny nose is a symptom of a cold. Our new creation does not have to follow God's commands because we are righteous. In order to effectively remove these symptoms, we need to get to the root cause and reconcile with the person that hurt you..
