DESCRIPTION:

"The book's content is excellent. Einstein both deeply understood the subject and could" according to Careful Buyer. This review refers only to the Kindle edition with revised equations. The book's content is excellent. Einstein both deeply understood the subject and could explain it simply. Unfortunately Amazon, in there production of the Kindle edition, could not typeset the equations so they were legible. A presentation of the principle of relativity without equations is much like reading in the dark. Much is lost in the effort. I remind the reader of this review that the edition I am discussing is the one in which the equations had been revised to be readable. Not only were the equations . I am researching Einstine's special theory of relativity basis and I am researching Einstein's special theory of relativity basis and this book by Einstien provides more of a complete set of information. I am aware that Einstein's world view was different as his view of the cosmos was much smaller. In his day technology had not developed to view the cosmos and find trillions of Galaxies. They thought many of the sparking were stars; but in reality they were whole galaxies. With that view he projected other theories about space travel that were in error. Thus, one should examine his special theory of relativity as well. Dr. Ronald Cutburth, Ma. "Amazing!" according to Uncle John. Last read this whilst in college; prompted to buy it again thanks to the TV series on Einstein. What's wonderful about this little gem is that Einstein is so brilliant, that he can explain extraordinarily complicated ideas in simple language that anyone (including myself!) can understand.

Einstein's book is not casual reading, but for those who appreciate his work without diving into the arcana of theoretical physics, Relativity will prove a stimulating read. . How better to learn the Special Theory of Relativity and the General Theory of Relativity than directly from their creator, Albert Einstein himself? In Relativity: The Special and the General Theory, Einstein describes the theories that made him famous, illuminating his case with numerous examples and a smattering of math (nothing more complex than high-school algebra)
