Wow! Couldn't stop reading! BVE I discovered Shannon Mayer through the Rylee Adamson series and loved her writing. When Recurve showed up as price deal on Amazon, I was thrilled. This book is amazing! I read it in one day and could not put it down. The world of the elementals is an amazing creation related to many other fantasy themes, yet with a difference I really enjoyed. Larkspur is a princess, but, due to the evil of her father's wife, Cassava, she is blocked from her powers after witnessing the death of her own mother, the king's mistress. We quickly le. Not quite as good as Rylee I bought this because I just loved Rylee Adamson. I really really wanted to love this book. I didn't. It was meh. Not bad. Good enough that I bought the second book and then the third. Honestly, I was just hoping for that Rylee Adamson grab and I still haven't got it. I don't have trouble putting this book down, and I'm not really chomping at the bit to pick it up again. That being said, it's not a bad book.
