DESCRIPTION:
Some featured works are meticulously illustrated, some abstract in style, some realistic, some forays into fantastic worlds that fuel the imagination. Juxtapoz Erotica will appeal to anyone interested in or fascinated by the genre and to artists and illustrators seeking inspiration.. Writers and artists have spent untold ink in an effort to unravel the mysteries of our libidinous tendencies. Sexuality is one of the most enigmatic facets of the human psyche. Juxtapoz Erotica features titillating explorations of the subject matter by two dozen of the most exciting artists working today. Contributing artists from an eclectic mix of backgrounds and cultures tackle the theme including David Choe, Fernanda Cohen, John Solis, Justine Lai, Rockin Jellybean, Asaji Muroi and Hu Ming to name a few. Each work expresses its own particular mood and feel, but all share the common thread of a sex-positive approach
Good but not great I actually expected better art in this book. A lot of what Juxtapoz puts into its magazines or books can be questionable. I'm not talking about nudity, sexuality, or the like, but the quality of the work. This book has some great oil paintings, some awesome acrylic works, and so on, but is mostly filled with the sloppy half assed style of the lazy artists of today. A lot of art that makes you think a d. Jux. "Excellent Artbook with big names." according to ShuYung. I have to admit I purchased this artbook for 2 names in it, Audrey Kawasaki and Edwin Ushiro. There are several prints by those 2 artists in this book, and I admit I've purchased Excellent Artbook with big names. I have to admit I purchased this artbook for 2 names in it, Audrey Kawasaki and Edwin Ushiro. There are several prints by those 2 artists in this book, and I admit I've purchased 3 copies one for archival, one for the coffee table and one for cutting up the prints to put into frames. If you check ebay, many people cut the prints out and sell them or frame them and sell them for ridiculous markup.
