The editor knew exactly what she was doing and her comments and explanations were erudite and spot-on. I especially enjoyed her thought-provoking critiques. There are many beautiful maps, reproductions of movie posters and stills, pictures of the Yorkshire moors, the Bronte Parsonage, etc. if I have one criticism, and for me it was significant, the font used in the annotations was tiny and very light. I'm college-educated, but found many words she used to be ones I had never heard. That said, I still enjoyed the book. I probably should have read it years ago in some English class, but it was never required. I took my time with no looming deadlines and enjoyed it.
