"Good, not Great" according to Coonin. I purchased this book in preparation to interview for a role at one of the Big Good, not Great Coonin I purchased this book in preparation to interview for a role at one of the Big 4 Consulting Firms. I had already spent 3 years at another consulting firm and had spent plenty of hours working through "Case in Point."This book didn't bring any fresh ideas, but did offer new insights and explanations to the usual cases and expectations. The author is a little high on himself, but once you get past that, he makes some good points. In the end, "Case in Point" was leveraged more during my interview, but this book was quite helpful in allowing me to review and re-evaluate my views.. Although this book could be a good starting point for whoever never read such a guide, it's of pretty low value when you've already read other reference consulting interview preparation guides : I purchased it particularly for the cases inside but not only were there only 10 of them, I also found them very easy comapred to what you get in real-world interviews. Remember also that the author is just a recent interviewee like us and has never sat on the other side of the desk which may explain why I thought this book was not insightful.. "More helpful than other resources out there" according to Jennifer Sloan. I also have Case in Point but found it to be full of a lot of unnecessary garbage. This book, on the other hand, is concise, well-written and easy/quick to read. I found the flow charts and examples to be great for getting a handle on structuring and laying out cases. Although perhaps overpriced, this book is a good resource and I definitely recommend it over Case in Point.
