DESCRIPTION:
I like the book Amazon Customer I excitedly received my "Barron's 501Arabic Verbs" copy today. I am still rather new to Arabic. I bought the book to learn a wealth of verbs and their conjugations. The book is VERY informative, but I have my work cut out for me.Why? The book has no English listing of verbs, so that you may select a particular verb to learn. Also, I found that the verbs are conjugated in a layout very different from that to which I am accustomed. I like the book, but it will entail hard work. If they had an English Index of verbs that would be sooo helpful!. Necessary for standard Arabic advanced learning H. A. The 501 series of verbs in various languages is an invaluable resource for anyone entering the advanced levels of a language. For conjugated languages this is a must. Conjugations are considered old-fashioned, but the brain is set up to deal with analogies, and the solution is conjugations. I would have liked the Arabic index to carry meanings also, but the book is very adequate as is.. RMatila said Not bad but perhaps confusing for those new to arabic. I thought this would be very useful as someone who was learning arabic, in my second year. However the organizational structure of the book is a little tricky to understand and simply not user friendly, at least not to me. I have actually rarely used this book since I purchased it. I ended up using the Hans Wers Arabic dictionary which I did not know about until a little later. I will also post a review regarding the Hans Wers Dictionary as well. I think that this book is more useful for people with a more fuller understanding of arabic and maybe the stucture of the book may make more sense to those with this type o
The book’s additional features include common idioms with example sentences to demonstrate verb usage and a grammar review.. To reflect correct Arabic style, this book has been printed back cover to front and back page to front. Your essential guide to Arabic verbs and verb usage. Barron’s 501 Arabic Verbs is printed in Arabic script with exemplary sentences in English for each verb. Verbs are arranged alphabetically in a table format, one verb per page with English translation, and conjugated in all tenses and forms
