I did not enjoy listening to the pieces on the included CD (that's not a dig at Mr. Willard, whose playing I really do like), but once I started playing them myself, they became a lot more interesting for me (not that I play them better than Jerry Willard - I don't). The difficulty level is just right for me too, and bei. stars now. I have been playing guitar for several years but have only been playing classical guitar for about 7 months. This is the best "beginning repertoire" book I have found.The main reason is the CD with every piece played by Willard. Unlike many repertoire books, you can hear how the pieces are supposed to sound when played by a professional.For the beginner, there are two main obstacles: 1) you have to read music to play classical guitar.
